You admire Ms. Awesome’s form through the flimsy material of her
nightgown and consider her offer. Fortunately, though, you’re
far more intelligent than she assumes. “While I greatly appreciate
the offer, I must decline. No, I think it’s just better for everyone
if you stay in this cell until I have need of you. Sorry to disappoint
you.”
You leave the dungeon and return to the throne
room. A short time later, a lackey runs into the room. “Sir,”
he blurts out, “Captain Awesome is here, and he’s –“
Before the messenger can finish his sentence,
Captain Awesome bursts into the room. “Where is she!?” he
demands.
“She is safe,” you tell him. You
then turn to the nearest guard and command, “Bring the girl here.”
“Now,” you say, “turning back
to Captain Awesome, “let’s discuss terms, shall we? See,
I have something that you would like, and you have something that I
would like. It would seem that a trade is in order. Give me the Talisman,
and I will let you and your girlfriend leave here with your lives.”
At that moment, the guard returns with Ms. Awesome.
The guard’s rifle is trained on her head. Captain Awesome bows
his head in defeat, and pulls the Talisman from one of his pockets.
He tosses it over to you and it lands at your feet.
“Now,” he says, “let her go.”
• Do
you keep your end of the bargain and let Ms. Awesome go?
• Do you lie and attempt to kill Captain Awesome?
