“General Murch, send out a couple of your most reliable units.
I want them to locate and to capture Ms. Awesome, Captain Awesome’s
girlfriend. Once Captain Awesome realizes she’s here, he’ll
come to rescue her, and will be more than willing to trade the artifact
for her life.”
General Murch nods his head in acknowledgement
of your order, then turns and walks out of the room. You go to the window,
and within five minutes, you see three robots flying away from the castle.
As much as you would like to stay awake all night and await their return,
you decide it would be better if you got some sleep, and to prepare
yourself for Captain Awesome’s arrival.

You enter your throne room the next morning to
find that General Murch is already there, waiting for you. “For
your sake, you’d better be here to deliver some good news,”
you say to him.
“Lord, the mission
was a complete success. You’ll find Ms. Awesome in your dungeon.”
“Excellent work,” you say, and head
down to the dungeons beneath your fortress.
Once there, you locate the cell she’s being
held in and look inside. The young woman is sitting on the stone floor
of the dungeon, wearing nothing but a thin nightgown. The look of fear
on her face dissipates upon noticing you. “Please,” she
begs, “release me from this cell.”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that,”
you say to her. “All prisoners are kept here in the dungeon. What
makes you think you deserve special treatment?”
“Well,” she says, standing up and
approaching the bars, “I was thinking that we’d both be
a lot happier if you and I went someplace a bit more comfortable. Someplace
with a bed, perhaps?”
“Is that so?” you say, arching an
eyebrow. Now, this was completely unexpected. And it might be worth
your while to take her up on it.
• Do
you bring the girl to your bedroom?
• Do you decline her offer and wait for
Captain Awesome?
